Centre for Defence Leadership Studies

The Centre for Defence Leadership Studies (CDLS) was established at the Australian Defence College - Weston Creek (ADC-WC) in January 2002.

Much good work is already underway in the broader Defence community on command, leadership and management activities, but this work tends to occur in isolation. Rather than direct, or duplicate, these activities, the aim of the centre is to act as a central Defence point of contact providing a framework for sharing information, tabling concepts, and assisting with such activities.

The role of the centre is to provide the Commander ADC-WC with corporate level command, leadership and management development advice in order to help shape expertise in these areas in the college and across Defence in general.
