Peace Operations Training Centre

ADF Peace Operations Training Centre

Australia was instrumental in the drafting of the UN charter and an original signatory and member of the United Nations. Since 1945 Australia Defence, police and civilians have proudly participated in global peace operations.

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) Peace Operations Training Centre (POTC) traces its origins back to 1993. The Centre is a joint, inter-agency, and multinational training establishment located in Canberra at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) campus and forms part of the Australian Defence College. The campus provides a quality learning environment close to our partner agencies across the whole of government.

Since 1993 the Centre has constantly evolved to keep pace with changing peace operations training requirements and international engagement demands.

ADF POTC mission is to serve Defence, government organisations and international defence forces through the provision of peace operations training, education, engagement and advice.

The ADF POTC is proud to be a recognised United Nations training provider.
