The Defence Work Experience Program conducted a HQ 22 Squadron sponsored base wide placement which was attended by 13 students from varying schools on 17-21 of October.

“The work experience week at the Richmond RAAF base was absolutely amazing.

This week has given me invaluable knowledge and experience. Every day was amazing but some of the highlights were the activities of tying together packages at the Air Mobility Training and Development Unit [AMTDU], visiting the aeromedical evacuation at the Health Centre and nearby hospital.

Spraying the hose and wearing a gas mask and oxygen tank at the Fire Station were among many other activities. I know that I and all the other students really appreciated this week and all had a fantastic time. Also a big thank you to Sergeant Harkins, who escorted us around the entire time.”
