military portable generators
Advanced Power supply a range of portable power generators purpose-built for military applications.
Developed initially to the stringent military requirements of the Australian Army, the range has become well suited to the requirements of defence forces from many countries. All models use diesel fuel. In most cases JP8 and other NATO fuels are suitable for the standard configuration.
Constructed for rugged conditions, these generators have been fully tested to military specifications for durability, endurance and performance. They survive and pass tests for extremes of temperature, humidity, salt-laden atmospheres, vibration, bumps and severe drops. Electromagnetic compatibility testing is carried out to MIL STD 461.
Microprocessor Control Systems
Advanced Power's military specification microprocessor control systems simplify automatic and manual operation. They display precise data including V, A, Hz (AC models), % load and diagnosis messages. They provide engine monitoring and shutdown, automatic voltage regulation (AVR) and where suitable, electronic speed governing.
Reliability
The microprocessor-based control system has proven to be a most reliable method of regulating the output voltage and monitoring all areas of the generators. If a fault occurs the equipment is shut down before any damage is caused and a diagnostic message appears on the control panel.
Maintainability
Modular design allows for rapid fault diagnosis and repair in the field by module replacement. Minimal servicing is required. Non-technical operators can perform all minor preventative and scheduled maintenance using only the tools supplied in the accessory box which also contains spare fuel and air filters, oil strainer, and the user manual. A complete workshop manual and spare parts book written to comply with DEF(AUST) 5629A is also available

Advanced Power purpose-built military generators are designed for extreme environmental conditions with special attention given to difficult transportation situations, high and low ambient temperatures, high dust and moisture conditions. Each provides uncompromising performance, power quality and low harmonic distortion in all service conditions. In the face of international competition, Advanced Power has repeatedly won successive Department of Defence contracts for generating sets and floodlight trailers of the stringent nature described for Australia and New Zealand. |
In the face of international competition Advanced Power has won a number of Department of Defence contracts for generating sets with very strict requirements, totalling nearly 3000 units. Developed initially to the stringent military requirements of the Australian Army, the range has become well suited to the requirements of defence forces from many countries.
Each model incorporates a unique microprocessor based control system with engine monitoring and shutdown and digital read out including volts, speed and load. |
