The Fiobuoy® is a robust all-in-one underwater retrieval system. It incorporates an acoustic release, flotation, retrieval line and canister all in a unique buoy design. It secures valuable and high-security equipment on the seabed without using a telltale or surface marker buoy.

The Australian Defence Force and other defence and research institutions around the world routinely use the Fiobuoy. It is used in mine warfare exercises where it allows the safe retrieval of practice mines and missiles and in Hydrographics for the recovery of valuable underwater monitoring equipment. The Fiobuoy can also be utilised as a working platform and housing for additional equipment.

The Fiobuoy® is available in two models: Time/Date and Acoustic. The Time/Date model allows for pre-programming of release, whereas the Acoustic model incorporates a sophisticated two-way spread-spectrum acoustic data link, giving 'on demand' retrieval or system status reporting.

Both models are currently offered in either a 100m or 200m depth capacity and a number of accessories including rope winders and strobe lights are also available.
