The Sonartech Atlas DVRS provides the facilities to record any, or all, voice communication channels on a vessel, including radio traffic, Internal Communication Systems (ICS) and hot microphones, up to a maximum of 64 independent channels.

The DVRS is designed for high availability and unattended operation to minimise data loss due to power disruption, equipment failure and human error. This design specifically recognises the strategic importance of the DVRS to reliably capture and record voice circuits the purposes of event reconstruction.

The DVRS has a modular design that can be adapted to almost any platform.

The System is capable of managing a combination of Red and Black (secure and plain) data/voice.

Data is recorded onto dual Solid State Drives and can be exported onto a CD or DVD.

Data can be replayed and analysed using the highly capable DVRS Replay Tool.

System includes a UPS capable of providing power for in excess of 60 minutes.

The System will enter production in mid 2011 and is scheduled to be installed on numerous RAN platforms from 2011 through to 2013.
