Established in 1973, Cowan is recognised world wide as a Recompression Chamber Specialist. Cowan chambers are used by police forces, rescue organisations, commercial diving companies, hospitals and Navies – including the Defence Forces of Australia, USA, Thailand and the Philippines. Over 140 Cowan chambers are currently in operation worldwide.

Cowan's role extends to the ongoing maintenance of recompression chamber systems and logistic support. This includes cleaning for oxygen use and breathing gas services. Cowan is the largest provider of hyperbaric maintenance and repair services to the Australian Defence Force. It offers comprehensive training packages and leading training skills, chamber refurbishment services and extensive product experience worldwide.
