Compucat Research specialises in information security for defence, national security, intelligence and other government customers worldwide.
Compucat's core business is the design, development, integration and maintenance of highly secure, special purpose hardware and software products and solutions. These products and solutions are generally deployed in sensitive environments demanding the highest levels of security. Consequently, Compucat's staff and products are certified to the highest security level.
Compucat's capabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Information security architecture design and consulting;
- Capability and business analysis, requirements definition and system specification;
- Secure information sharing, electronic file interrogation and content filtering;
- Formal military messaging systems, including gateways;

Compucat is also the only Australian company holding Australian Industrial TEMPEST Program (AITP) accreditation to undertake all levels of TEMPEST engineering, including design, manufacture, testing and consulting.
Content Filter Technology
Compucat's Content Filter Technology delivers the world's first high-grade content filter which:
- Enables the checking, review and analysis of the contents (including all metadata) of electronic files;
- Scans data and content to prevent both unwanted and/or inappropriate content from crossing between networks or within networks; and
- Functions at the binary (machine code) level.
Multi Level Trusted Workstation
Compucat's MLTW provides a chassis which incorporates up to four thin client or PC computers, physically isolated from each other but connected via an internal Trusted Secure Optical Switch (SOS), also developed by Compucat. The integrated SOS allows the user to manually select, with visual confirmation, one of the computers within the MLTW.
The MLTW is undergoing evaluation to Common Criteria EAL7. The Trusted Secure Optical Switch has been evaluated by DSD and approved for use in applications requiring high grade accreditation. Compucat's offering includes a secure buffer-less keyboard for use in systems requiring security accreditation.
Trusted Secure Optical Switch
Compucat's Trusted Secure Optical Switch enables secure switching between any voice or data networks. It enables trusted switching between networks ranging from unclassified to TOP SECRET.
Messaging and Gateways
CMX is a formal messaging software product which can handle ACP127/8 and associated standards. CMX is currently operating in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Compucat is also expert in the design, testing and implementation of messaging gateways, including to ACP145 standard, using products such as DeepSecure Bastion.
