Welcome to the Defence Estate Management System (DEQMS). DEQMS is the Defence Support & Reform Group’s (DSRG) mandated quality system for the management of the Defence Estate.  

DEQMS is certified to meet AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 international quality management standards and provides a:

  • platform for continuous improvement, compliance and achievement of best practice in developing and managing the Defence Estate and related Services;
  • set of core policies, procedures and business support tools that cover the planning, development, delivery and disposal stages of the asset life cycle; and  
  • direct benefit to Defence via its contribution to cost and risk management.

The DEQMS Team is primarily responsible for coordinating, maintaining and improving, the quality of information available on the DEQMS. The DEQMS Team also supports the Defence Support & Reform Group’s (DSRG) to uphold the DEQMS AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 quality management standards.

The Defence Estate Quality Management System allows us to do our jobs well, adds value and gives confidence to our customers.

We cannot do our jobs well without meaningful feedback as it drives our culture of continuous improvement. Every employee, subcontractor and supplier has the ability to improve the quality of information on the DEQMS. The DEQMS reviews also help support our culture of continuous improvement and our ability to improve the quality of information on the DEQMS.

We welcome your feedback and suggestions on new topics, process and/or amendments to rectify inaccuracies. Formal feedback on the DEQMS can be lodged:

  • via email
  • by calling 02 6266 8086 (tel) to arrange a meeting with the Defence Estate Quality Management System Team located at BP3-2-A068; or
  • via regular DEQMS surveys.
