Corporate Services & Infrastructure Requirement (CSIR) Part 2 Process
Technical Authority: DGEP
Subject Matter Expert: DBP/DICE

This is an internal only process

**THIS PROCESS IS TO BE USED FOR POTENTIAL PPP PROJECTS and CAPITAL PROJECTS COSTING OVER $500K**
For projects costing under $500K, the Estate Maintenance - CSIR Process should be followed.

The Corporate Services & Infrastructure Requirement (CSIR) informs the structured process of prioritised decision-making within the Defence Support & Reform Group (DSRG). It is used for planning the future delivery of the full range of DSG products and services and is known as the Strategic Screening process. The CSIR Part 2 provides analysis supporting the requirement and is used to determine whether or not DSRG can accept the requirement for further planning and development. The aim of the CSIR Part 2 is to identify broad options for the delivery of the requirement, highlight issues, define boundaries and priorities for further development of the requirement and to allocate DSRG resources for that development.

The output is a Defence Estate Committee (DEC) endorsed CSIR that will be used to either trigger further development of and planning for the satisfaction of the requirement, or to advise the Sponsor of reasons why further planning for the satisfaction of the requirement cannot be undertaken.

The Directorate of Base Planning (DBP) is responsible for the Development and Completion of all CSIRs aside from those funded by Defence Capability Program.

Director Infrastructure Capability Engagement (DICE) is responsible for the Development and Completion of all CSIRS Funded by Defence Capability Program.
