Property Disposal Step 4 - Settle and complete the disposal

Considerations

Outcomes of all activites

1) Confirm legislative compliance.

  • Project Director's Compliance Checklist
  • Tax Invoice issued
  • Property disposal completed and settled
  • Property retired from Asset Register
  • Project finalised

2) Obtain settlement statement from lawyers.

  • Full purchase price and GST payable should be readily discernable.

3) Forward tax invoice to Lawyers for settlement:

  • Issue settlement instructions if required.
  • Contract of sale
  • GST issues
  • Method of payment
  • Date and place of settlement
  • Certificate of Title

4) Complete Notification of Disposal form (settlement).

  • Ensure proper financial accounting treatments

5) Pay final invoices and write back purchase orders.

  • ID Account Manager can assist with financial reports.

6) Close the project in ROMAN and update the Property Database.

  • ID Account Manager can assist with ROMAN details.

 

7) End of project report.

  • Lessons learned.
