Reconsideration and Review

DEC is committed to ensuring all compliance-related issues are addressed in a fair, transparent, impartial and proportionate manner. Clients who are unhappy with any compliance decision should contact DEC to request a review of a compliance decision.


The DTC Act will be reviewed after the first two years of operation (from 1 April 2016), with the completed review to be tabled in Parliament by the Minister for Defence. It will then be reviewed every five years thereafter. DEC will continue to update our compliance policy in light of the findings of these reviews.

DEC also reviews this compliance policy on a regular basis to ensure its utility and effectiveness. Client feedback is welcome and can be directed to DEC by phone or email.
