What is the Nature of your injury or illness?

I suffer from a traumatic brain injury and vision impairment with subsequent facial disfigurement as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

What role has sport played in your rehabilitation?

Sport has been a big part of my life since I was young. During high school I started coaching and then moved into personal training while I was at university. Following my injury I used sport to improve social connections, regain self-confidence and for personnel development.

What is your greatest achievement to date?

Graduating from university with a Bachelor of Education and making the 2017 Australian Invictus Games Team. Having the opportunity to represent my country as part of the 2017 team will be one of the highlights of my life.

Why did you apply for the Invictus Games?

I reached a point in my recovery and rehabilitation where I felt I could be competitive and had the confidence to apply. I knew it would be an experience like nothing else I had ever participated in before.
