Lieutenant Casey Piket was appointed into the Australian Army in 2015 where he began studying a Bachelors Degree in Aeronautical Engineering at the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA). Lieutenant Piket attended the Royal Military College – Duntroon in 2018 where he graduated into army aviation. Casey is now completing his final year of engineering study, undertaking a thesis into the evaluation of rotary winged aircraft in a low turbulence wind tunnel.

Casey was born and raised in Hobart, Tasmania. His rowing career began at The Friends School Rowing Club where he competed up to national level and served as Boat Captain.

Upon appointment to the Army, Lieutenant Piket trained and competed for the ADFA Rowing Club up to national level once again. In his final year Casey was President of the ADFA Rowing Club. In 2018, Lieutenant Piket rowed for the Royal Military College-Duntroon Rowing Club where he was Boat Captain.
