Flying Officer Ruby Brady-Welsh

Flying Officer Ruby Brady-Welsh is a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Electronics Engineer. Ruby has rowed since high school in Melbourne. After a move to Canberra and a brief hiatus from rowing, Ruby joined Black Mountain Rowing Club which turned out to be mostly comprised of Masters’ rowers. Being too young to compete in Masters events, Ruby took up coxing. Although she still loves to hop on the oars and stretch her legs, she has come to appreciate the different type of challenge that coxing presents.

Ruby is excited and proud to take part in this special event; the chance to compete as part of the King’s Cup Centenary race at Henley is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent Australia and the Australian Defence Force, rowing on the international stage.
