The latest amendments to the Pay and Conditions Manual (PACMAN) are now available online in AL17 May 2012.

 

Vehicle allowance and Christmas stand-down

Defence Determination 2012/26, Vehicle allowance and Christmas stand-down – allowance, wef 22 May 2012. This Determination makes a consequential amendment to update references to the agreement that covers conditions of employment for Australian Public Service employees in Defence, provides the Christmas stand-down dates for 2012 and 2013, and changes the commencement date of a section 58B Defence Act Determination relating to vehicle allowance. These changes can be found in Chapter 1 Part 1, Chapter 5 Part 10 and Chapter 15 Part 1. See AL 18 (June 2012)

 

Service residences
Defence Determination 2012/25, Service residences – amendment, wef 18 May 2012. This Determination provides that a member with dependants (unaccompanied) and a member without dependants is eligible for housing assistance when they are assigned to a particular Service residence. These changes can be found in Chapter 7 Part 1 Division 3, Part 2 Division 2, Part 5 Division 7, Division 8 and Division 9. See AL18 (June 2012)

Vehicle hire, hardship post conditions of service and deployment allowance

Defence Determination 2012/24, Vehicle hire, hardship post conditions of service and deployment allowance – amendment, wef 16 May 2012. This Determination simplifies conditions of private vehicle use at overseas posts, adds Uganda as an eligible location for hardship post conditions, provides a transitional that recognises South Sudan as an operational area used in OPERATION AZURE, and provides a transitional to allow a member to receive deployment allowance under OPERATION AZURE for a period they were serving in OPERATION ASLAN. Operational support allowance

DECA Determination No. 14 of 2012, Operational support allowance – amendment, wef 7 June 2012. This Determination updates arduous duties and hardship rates for employees travelling and working overseas. These provisions will be available in Chapter 17 Part 10 Division 1 on the date of effect. Vehicle allowance

Defence Determination 2012/23, Vehicle allowance – amendment, wef 1 July 2012. This Determination is to simplify the ADF vehicle allowance rates to a single rate and align with the rates paid to the Australian Public Service (APS) Defence employees. These changes will be available in Chapter 9 Part 6 Division 5 on the date of effect. See AL17 (May 2012)

 

Cadet forces allowance

Defence Determination 2012/22, Cadet forces allowance – amendment, wef 15 May 2012. This Determination is to limit entitlement to payment of cadet forces allowance. These changes are available in Chapter 4 Part 8 Division 6. See AL17 (May 2012)

 

Paratrooper allowance

DFRT Determination 4 of 2012, Paratrooper allowance – amendment of unit titles from forces command to special operations command, wef 8 May 2012. This Determination amends paratrooper allowance. These changes are available in Chapter 4 Part 3 Division 10. See AL17 (May 2012)

 

Transfer of leave credit and senior officer transitional bonus

Defence Determination 2012/21, Transfer of leave credit and senior officer transitional bonus, wef 3 May 2012. This Determination provides a mechanism for the portability of a recreation leave credit across public sector agencies.

 

Post indexes – amendment

Defence Determination 2012/20, Post indexes – amendment, wef 10 May 2012. This Determination implements revised post indexes for the overseas locations where ADF members serve and are available in Chapter 15 Part 2 Annex 15.2.A. Post indexes are available in electronic format only and will not be produced in hard copy amendment.

Deployment allowance

Defence Determination 2012/19, Deployment allowance – amendment, wef 10 May 2012. This Determination adds the United Nations mission in the Republic of South Sudan to the list of eligible areas and operations that attract payment of deployment allowance and is available in Chapter 17 Part 9 Annex 17.9.A on the date of effect. Separation allowance

DFRT Determination 3 of 2012, Separation Allowance – amendment, wef 10 April 2012. This determination amends separation allowance. These changes are available in Chapter 6 Part 1 Division 1. See AL17 (May 2012)

 

Australians dangerously ill scheme
Defence Determination 2012/18, Australians dangerously ill scheme, wef 4 April 2012. This Determination implements provisions for members who are very seriously or seriously ill or injured within Australia and overseas. These provisions are available in Chapter 9 Part 3 Division 7A and Chapter 17 Part 3A. See AL17 (May 2012)

Operational support duty
DECA Determination No. 10 of 2012, APS employees – operational support duty – amendment, wef 4 April 2012. This Determination implements the Australians dangerously ill scheme and funeral provisions for APS employees who are very seriously or seriously ill or injured or killed while on operational support duty. These provisions are available in Chapter 17 Part 3A and Part 10 Division 3. See AL17 (May 2012)

Supply officers
DFRT Determination 2 of 2012, Salaries amendment – supply officers primary qualification pay grade 3 placement, wef 29 March 2012. This Determination amends pay grade 3 for supply officers primary qualification. These changes are available in Chapter 3 Part 1 Schedule B.2 Part 2. See AL17 (May 2012)
