The Branch is the strategic focus for ADF recruiting and consists of:
- Defence Force Recruiting (DFR), a collaborative arrangement between Defence and Manpower Australia that manages military recruitment; and
- Directorate of Strategic Recruitment that:
- provides recruiting input into strategic planning processes;
- develops plans for the sustainable ADF recruiting capability;
- manages the ADF recruiting strategic plan and its processes; and
- manages and develops strategic recruiting initiatives.
Branch Mission
As a key component of the ADF recruiting system, the Branch conducts and coordinates activities that provide the right people, in the right numbers at the right time in order to generate Defence capability and promote the ADF as a preferred employer.
