Welcome to the Defence Census 2007 Internet Site!

Defence Census 2007 was conducted on Wednesday, 16 May 2007 and was the fifth Census conducted within Defence since 1991. The Census included all ADF permanent and active Reserve members and Defence APS staff both within Australia and overseas.  The privacy and anonymity of all personnel is guaranteed as the Census conformed to the requirements of the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and relevant information privacy principles. The Census questionnaires were processed and then destroyed by the consultants. No-one in Defence has access to individual responses. Processed information is also protected in that no individual is able to be identified from the data.

The Minister for Defence Science and Personnel the Honourable Warren Snowdon MP released the 2007 Defence Census Public Report at 1500 hours on 10 February 2009. The Public Report is available for viewing and downloading from the Publications section of this website.
