Course Content The course provides theory and practical instruction on E3 management. The theory component is a shortened version of the designer's course; whereas the practical component provides instruction on the testing and fault-finding of aircraft avionics systems using source/victim matrices, and physical inspections of aircraft to identify possible E3 problems via a Practical case study.
AIM: To graduate technical personnel capable of preventing and managing E3 problems to improve operational availability of ADF aircraft and systems.
Target Audience ELECTRs, SYSTECHs, SNCO Technicians, flight line personnel employed in aircraft maintenance, and other Service and civilian equivalents.
Class Sizeup to 20 participants per session.

Cost

Course costs: There is no cost involved for uniformed and APS personnel. Industry participants are required to pay a fee of A$1200 per person.

For uniformed RAAF personnel ONLY:  You will be sponsored from DP-AF funds for incidentals and domestic travel to and from the course location. This will be confirmed in the formal call for nominations via an DP-AF course panelling message. Once at the training location, all accommodation, meals and transport costs are the responsibility of the member's parent Unit.

For all other ADO personnel and Defence contractors:   The individual’s parent unit/organisation is responsible for funding travel, meals and accommodation to attend this course.  This also applies when the individual is at the training location.

NB: Individual participants are responsible for organising their travel, meals and accommodation to attend this course.

Note: Where there is advice contrary to the above, this DGTA-ADF advice takes precedence.
