This page provides information on the ADF Aviation Software Symposium sponsored by SCI-DGTA.
The 2011 ADF Software Symposium is sponsored by Systems Certification and Integrity (SCI) section of Directorate General of Technical Airworthiness (DGTA-ADF). The Symposium was held on 22 – 23 August 2011 at RAAF Williams - Laverton. The theme of the symposium is:
"Aviation Software Regulation: 12 Months of Progress"
The symposium is aimed at Commonwealth and industry engineers and managers engaged in the development, acquisition or in-service management of aviation software for the ADF. The symposium is designed to provide a forum to present, discuss and educate on current issues relating to the development, acquisition and in-service management of aviation software within the ADF. In particular, the symposium this year will focus on the experience had, and progress made, under the new aviation software regulations (TAREG 2.2.12 and 3.5.3) since their introduction to the Technical Airworthiness Management Manual (TAMM) in mid-2010. Although aviation software is the main focus of the symposium, we extend our invitation to the land and sea branches of the ADF. Some of the concepts that will be considered during the symposium will be of common interest to all branches. The ADF Aviation Software Symposium offers a great opportunity for networking within the ADF and industry software community and to discuss relevant software issues within Defence.
