2011 ADF Aircraft Structural Integrity Symposium
The inaugural ADF Aircraft Structural Integrity Symposium (ASI) was held at the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO) facility at Fishermans Bend (Melbourne) Victoria on 2-4 November 2011. The theme was Responding to Emerging Challenges for Military Aircraft Structural Integrity Management. ASI, as a concept, has become entrenched within the ADF airworthiness framework over the past fifteen years, with every platform now having its own pro-active ASI program which informs Defence on structural integrity threats, and efficiently manages them to minimise sustainment costs and aircraft downtime. The future, though, holds a number of challenges and the ASI concept as implemented by the ADF must adapt if it is to stay relevant and useful.
Links to the Symposium Flyer, Final Agenda, Feedback Form and most Presentations (subject to security restrictions) are included below.

We are collating all feedback forms and based on your responses will decide when the next symposium shall be held and what the next theme shall be. This website will be updated with those details as they become available, and if you attended this year you will be notified by email as well. If you know of anyone who did not attend but would like to receive updates on future ADF ASI Symposia, please forward their details to DGTA-ADF.ASI@defence.gov.au
