We know that when a member transitions from the ADF it can impact greatly on the family. Below are a number of different support mechanisms to support your family.
ADF Transition Coaches are the main points of contact during your and your loved ones transition from the ADF. They will work with your family to provide tailored coaching to assist you during, and up to 12 months post transition. While helping to reach your families post-transition goals, they will also be able to help you (as a recognised partner) plan for, secure and maintain suitable employment.
ADF Member and Family Transition Seminar's aim to help you and your family prepare for the transition into civilian life. You are welcome to attend with your loved one at any point during their ADF career.
Run nationally, the seminars allow you the opportunity to receive tailored information from a wide range of stakeholder groups, as well as attend sessions during the day that detail the transition support that is available.
If you would like to attend a seminar, you can register your attendance by emailing Transition National Support Team including the PMKeys number of the ADF member you are supporting and the event you would like to attend.
For enquiries regarding the seminars you can also email Transition National Support Team.
If you are a recognised partner of a current serving member that is transitioning, we are currently trialling Job Search Preparation workshops out of Queensland for partners.
Job Search Preparation workshops are two day workshops that cover all aspects of applying for a job. You can also access up to two hours of individual coaching to prepare for job interviews to reinforce the skills learnt at the workshop.
