New pay system for Defence

Jun 29 2017

The new pay system for Defence will go live on Monday 7 August 2017.

The new pay system for Defence will go live at 830am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Monday 7 August 2017. There will be a ‘cutover’ period from 25 July to 7 August where systems won’t be accessible, including from PMKeyS Home Portal used by many families:

  • Tuesday 25 July 5pm AEST: Some PMKeyS Employee Self Service menu items will be turned off. ADF members will not be able to apply for or modify leave.
  • Thursday 27 July 3pm AEST: PMKeyS and ADFPAY turned off. No Self Service access.
  • Monday 7 August 8.30am AEST: New system is live. All systems should be available to all users.

The new system will bring APS, Reserve and ADF members onto the same payroll system, which means many allowances will be automated. Together with the expansion of Self Service, automation means absences, allowances and deductions will be processed sooner.

ADF members are responsible for their pay, allowances and deductions. They need to log in to PMKeyS Self Service and make sure that details such as rank, location, contact details and dependants are correct and up-to-date. They should also regularly check their leave data, including absence entitlement, outstanding and denied applications.

If you have questions or need assistance with this, ADF members and their families can call 1800 333 287 or yourcustomer.service@defence.gov.au.
