The new pay system for Defence will go live at 830am Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) on Monday 7 August 2017. There will be a ‘cutover’ period from 25 July to 7 August where systems won’t be accessible, including from PMKeyS Home Portal used by many families:
The new system will bring APS, Reserve and ADF members onto the same payroll system, which means many allowances will be automated. Together with the expansion of Self Service, automation means absences, allowances and deductions will be processed sooner.
ADF members are responsible for their pay, allowances and deductions. They need to log in to PMKeyS Self Service and make sure that details such as rank, location, contact details and dependants are correct and up-to-date. They should also regularly check their leave data, including absence entitlement, outstanding and denied applications.
