Lieutenant Steve Salmon is a Military Support Officer with Defence Community Organisation and said families and members enjoyed a 'perfect Cerberus day' following a bushfire threat and temperatures in the high 30's in the days before the expo.
LEUT Salmon said 'old favourites' such as the inflatable sides, jumping castle and mini go-carts were a hit with the kids.
'The local petting zoo was popular, with children getting up close and personal with cuddly bunnies, poultry and livestock,' he said. 'Pepper Penguin roamed through the area all day, often in the company with DHA's (Defence Housing Australia) Rex the Dog.' 'The Amazing balloon twister had children lined up in front of her for the whole event - waiting to order one of her wonderful balloon sculptures.'
