Community groups & centres
The Defence Special Needs Support Group is a non-profit benevolent volunteer organisation established to assist ADF families with a family member with special needs.
The Mactier Community Centre is located in Building 40.
The Mactier Community Centre runs groups and programs to enable us to meet the needs of our membership, with the aim of promoting community engagement and self-confidence. Currently, the Centre facilitates a number of group activities including playgroup, coffee and cake, book group, sewing lessons, craft and a walking group.
A quarterly newsletter, the Simpsons Voice, is available online and the Mactier Community Centre also administer and encourage use of our very active on line community.
The Coordinator is located in the office in front of the accommodation cell and is in the office 9.15am – 2pm Monday – Thursday
The Toy Library is located in building 425, in the courtyard behind AAFCANS. Membership is free and open to the families and friends of all ADF and APS personnel at RAAF Williams. Open every Monday and Thursday from 12.00 to 1300.
Playgroup meets Friday mornings 0900 to 1200. Please bring a snack for morning tea. For more details join 'raafwilliamsplaygroup' on Facebook.
