The Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation supports kids living in families affected by mental illness. The program provides recreational educational camps and other activities, giving kids a break, in a fun, positive and safe environment. Kids have the opportunity to meet other kids in similar families and develop new friendships.

The Defence Special Needs Support Group is a non-profit benevolent volunteer organisation established to assist ADF families with a family member with special needs.

TDFSA is a Community House and Playgroup providing a range of services and activities for all Defence families and civilian families. Membership to the Centre is $10 per annum which provides activities such as playgroup, coffee Club, craft, dinner dates, book club, borrowing library, regular family events, fundraising and much more.
TDFSA provide support, fun and friendship for all ages. The air conditioned centre has a toy room, fully equipped kitchen, baby changing facilities and a lounge area. Outdoor facilities include a sandpit, swings, slide, climbing gym, bike track, mud kitchen and plenty of equipment and toys for the kids to enjoy.

If you’re a family with or without kids, everyone is welcome. Remember to bring along a hat and some morning tea for your little one. Tea and coffee provided. Cost is $3 per family.
The Community House is open as a drop-in facility Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:30am–1.00pm. Come and view the services and facilities first hand, enjoy a cup of coffee or borrow a book from our library.

Open Arms provides counselling and support services to Australia's military community. If you have served one day of continuous full-time service in the ADF you can call them for support. They also support families, reservists and some peacekeepers. Call Open Arms – Veterans and Families Counselling on 1800 011 046 for free, confidential counselling and group programs to support mental health and wellbeing.
