Community groups & centres
Amberley Defence Families Inc. provide an opportunity for Amberley families to socialise with their children and provide mutual support in a safe, friendly and fun environment.
Families currently meet twice a week on a Wednesday & Friday, 09.00—11:30.
There are also plenty of outdoor play meet-ups organised at local parks so families can also explore the local child friendly facilities. If you are interested in in attending please join us on Facebook.

The Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation supports kids living in families affected by mental illness. The program provides recreational educational camps and other activities, giving kids a break, in a fun, positive and safe environment. Kids have the opportunity to meet other kids in similar families and develop new friendships.

Ipswich City Council is conducting free orientation tours for new residents in the City of Ipswich.
Moving into a new area is very exciting, and to help you settle in, Ipswich City Council would like to invite you and other members of your family to join us on an orientation tour of Ipswich.
During the bus tour we will point out some of the great attractions and facilities of our City and tell you about the developments being planned for our rapidly growing population.
Tour times: The tours will depart from the Council car park, 45 Roderick St, Ipswich at 10am and return 12.30pm. Parking is free.

Open Arms provides counselling and support services to Australia's military community. If you have served one day of continuous full-time service in the ADF you can call them for support. They also support families, reservists and some peacekeepers. Call Open Arms – Veterans and Families Counselling on 1800 011 046 for free, confidential counselling and group programs to support mental health and wellbeing.
