Community groups & centres

Bandiana Neighbourhood House

The House provides a range of childcare, courses and activities for both Defence and Civilian families. We are a registered childcare provider and provide various childcare options including occasional care, kinder and playgroup. All families wishing to utilise the childcare are required pay the annual membership fee of $20. Other activities are available at member and non-member rates such as courses, yoga and craft groups.
Where: Wattle Road, North Bandiana Barracks (directly opposite the Military Post Office)

NECANA Association Inc.

The NECANA Association is a volunteer organisation that supports Defence families in the Albury Wodonga Military Area by running programs and activities specifically designed and developed for them. Regular activities include the Pac-a-Picnic Program, the weekly NECANA Coffee Club, the Teens in Action Programs and the annual Defence Family Fun Day. A band of skilled and enthusiastic volunteers put together a monthly newsletter for the Defence community, the NECANA newsletter.

Veterans and Veterans Families Counselling Service

VVCS provides free and confidential, nation-wide counselling and support for war and service-related mental health conditions, such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance and anger. 

Wodonga Skills & Jobs Centres

Skills and Jobs Centres offer a range of services aimed at supporting people find employment. Including face-to-face personalised careers advice, weekly workshops, as well as skills and training advice, we will support and help navigate you to new and exciting skills development opportunities and of course employment.
