Capability Systems Division (CS)


Head Capability Systems Division (HCS) has responsibility for a number of initiatives including:
  • The development and iteration of the latest version of the DCP. This includes a review of all cost estimates associated with unapproved major capital projects and the development of new capability proposals to respond to changes in strategic guidance including the war on terror and satisfy other identified capability gaps.
  • CS Div staff develop capability proposals that form the basis of submissions to seek Government consideration of options for future ADF capabilities. CS Div includes four branches: Maritime, Land, Aerospace and Integrated Capability Development, which develop these capability proposals. Head Capability Systems (HCS), who reports directly to CCDG oversees CS Division. HCS is also the Chair of the RPDE (or RAPID) which is a is a cooperative think tank comprising Defence, industry and academia.
