Finance in Defence

The Chief Finance Officer Group is responsible for managing the Defence Finances at the portfolio level.

The role of the Chief Finance Officer Group (CFOG) is to drive the financial and management improvement programs for Defence. The CFOG has the lead role in the implementation of a more streamlined accountability structure and the information and application of financial policies and standards. The CFO, within guidance provided by the Secretary and CDF Advisory Committee, also advises on key resourcing issues.
