Rock Band

CPL Adam Corning
Adam grew up in Newcastle and went to Maitland High. He joined his school band on percussion and after a few years joined a Hunter Valley big band called "Jazz Maits" on bass guitar. In 1999 he was lucky enough to tour the USA with "Jazz Maits" and be a part of workshops conducted by the likes of Dave Weckel, Winton Marsalis, Eric Reed and Jeff Jarvis to name a few.
Adam was also in a regional choir called the Hunter Valley Singers for a few years and performed in many places around the country.
After leaving school, Adam joined the Army as an Electronic Warfare Operator in the Royal Australian Corps of Signals. It didn't take him long to realise that he couldn't be without music and corps transferred in Jan 2003 to the Australian Army Band Corps.
Adam's most memorable gig deploying with AAB-K in 2004 to the Solomon Islands to provide music to the troops.
Adam joined the RMC band in 2008 and is leading the Rock band.
Adam also runs a civilian rock band in Wagga Wagga called "Standing Room Only".
Other than playing bass, drums, singing and arranging, Adam's other interests include poker, electronic gadgets, console gaming and movies. Adam has recently tied the knot with his wonderful partner Allirra. He is hopeful that it won't be long 'til there is a little one on the way.
