Service Police Officer Basic Cse

Aim
To provide selected members with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes for principal employment as Service Police Officers in the rank of LT (E) and CAPT (E).
General
The course duration is 58 working days. The course is designed for FT and PT members. The PT component of the course will be delivered in modules with a supplementary distance education package. PT LTs must complete the GD and Ops module before being employed. The third, Investigations Module, must be completed before the PT member can be promoted to CAPT.
Until such time as the first two modules of this course is completed, the member is not entitled to wear the MP armband or Scarlet Beret.
Prerequisites
Rank - LT (E) or CAPT (E)
PES - Medical class 2 (with waiver)
Experience - 12 months Regimental training

There are no pre-course assignments for this course; however, members of the nominated Single Service are strongly advised to be familiar with their corresponding policies and the additional course reading list which is:
