Aim

To train selected Military Police members with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes for employment as a Military Police Dog Handler.

General

This is a Military Police course that is conducted over 60 working days. Selected members must be deemed suitable to become a dog handler; therefore they must meet the prerequisites and pre-course experience before being panelled.

Prerequisites

  • RANK: LCPL - SGT

  • ECN: 315-2

  • PES: Medical Class 1

  • COURSES: SUBJ (1) CPL

  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum 12 months as a Military Police member with Subj (1) CPL.

Pre-course

Minimum of two weeks On The Job (OJT) experience and be deemed suitable.
