Aim

The course aim is to train Defence Investigators in forensic procedures, in order to qualify them to correctly process a crime scene and collect evidence IAW extant policy.

General

This is a 15 working days, Tri-service course that has extensive visiting lecturers and visits to other external agencies that supports the course IOT facilitate the learning requirements of proper procedures in processing a crime scene and collect/handle evidence.
This course is a short course with a large volume of information to enhance individual investigative skills. The conduct of this course is by the Australian Federal Police Forensic Training Staff. Trainees will need extensive pre-course preparation as detailed below, to ensure a smooth transition into the conduct of the course.

Prerequisites

Qualified ADF Investigators.
PES: Medical Class 2.

Pre-course study is outlined in the Joining Instruction. Trainees should download all relevant materials and be conversant with all related materials as part of their preparation for this course.
