Mission

DFCE is to provide corrective training that meets the needs of the ADF.

DFCE Concept

DFCE, as the third tier of the ADF corrective establishments, acknowledges the punitive and deterrent nature of a period of detention at the establishment but emphasises the role it can play in building a positive attitude towards service in the ADF, its ethos and values. The primary elements of this ethos include a pride in service of the nation, the ADF, the detainee's unit or ship and to his/her comrades. The values that are reinforced at DFCE include the will to win, dedication to duty, honour, integrity, mateship and team work, courage and loyalty.
