MARCH OUT PARADE

Families and friends of recruits are invited to attend the March Out Parade at the Army Recruit Training Centre, Kapooka. March Out Parades are held to celebrate the end of the Recruit training course and mark the transition from Recruit to Soldier.

March Out Parades are conducted on the Blamey Barracks Parade ground [see Location Maps] and commence at 10:00 AM. Attendees are requested to be seated by 9:45 AM. A luncheon is held for the recruits and their family after the march out parade. The March Out function will be held directly following the parade in the Edmonson Club within Blamey Barracks.

If any attendee to a March Out Parade has any special needs, please indicate this to ARTC staff when replying to your formal invitation so that arrangements may be made for easy-access parking.

Your invitation will also include a map of Kapooka and a list of accommodation facilities available in Wagga Wagga. The Security Guard at the Camp front gate will provide further direction on your arrival.

For a number of reasons, recruits may not complete recruit training; be able to march out with their Platoon; or particular March Out parades may be cancelled or postponed. These eventualities may occur at short notice.

Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase deferrable and/or refundable travel tickets and accommodation bookings; or to take out travel insurance; or to make other suitable arrangements to protect against loss or expense arising from such eventualities.

Whilst every effort is made to notify recruits as soon as possible of any such eventualities, the Commonwealth is not responsible and accepts no liability for any loss suffered or expense incurred arising from such eventualities.

Contact information for all March Out queries can be found on the contacts page.
