The year commenced with the march-in of our first OC for the year and the Coy's new CSM. The OC hosted a training conference attended by the Coy's key personnel, which was held at 9 RQR D Coy at Maryborough, north of Brisbane.
With the subsequent deployment of the OC to Timor Leste, 4 MP Coy welcomed the new acting OC from the Army Reserve. His background in training has been the drive behind Menin Roads, during which several Land Rover and motorcycle courses have been conducted, including upgrade courses for the new BMWs. These courses have equipped MPs Australia-wide with vital driver training and the issuing of license codes which will assist them in carrying out their MP duties.
The deployment of the Operations Officer to Iraq resulted in the new 2LT, fresh-faced from an ROBC, also successfully stepping into the challenging role of Coy OPSO.
