41 MP Pl

To suggest 2006 was an eventful year would be an understatement. Firstly after fondly farewelling our Platoon Commander, we welcomed our new LT, only for him to be quickly snatched away to complete his ROBC. We also welcomed to the platoon this year, Hayden and Matt from ARTC, and Kevin from 11 MP Pl.

This year's activities then continued to accelerate. As with most platoons within 1 MP Bn, the majority of 41 MP Pl have participated in either OP Catalyst or OP Astute. Also Gavin and Mark deployed to Malaysia as part of the Rifle Company Butterworth, and Gavinhad the pleasure of being the Corps Ambassador to the UK where he successfully completed the British Close Personal Protection Course.

During the year, the Coy provided Military Police support to the 'VITAL' series of exercises, along with Vigilant Pacific, Pozieres Intelligence, a number of the 1 Int Coy exercises, and for the 40th Anniversary of Long Tan day.

The year has had many highlights, such as promotions and Another highlight was that 41 MP Pl competed and smashed the rest of the Companies for the Champion Section and the Touch Football competition during the inaugural Battalion Boots Competition. Well done!!! A few of the lads have welcomed new additions to their families this year.

As far as hails and farewells go, 41 MP Pl have too many of both to mention each and every individual. To those that are leaving, all the best in your future endeavours and to those who arriving welcome and I hope you have your DP1 ready. To all around the Corps, 41 MP Pl wishes you the best for a happy and safe Christmas Season.
