Background
- Exercise Mallee Bull (Ex MB) is a biennial reciprocal infantry company exchange conducted between Land Command and the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF).
- RCB provides a sub unit to Brunei and an AS unit hosts the RBLF.
- Ex MB is typically four weeks in duration.
Aim
- The aim of Ex MB is to further develop interoperability between the Australian Army and the RBLF at the tactical/unit level.
Objectives
The Australian exercise objectives are to:
- Improve levels of understanding of culture, customs and language among individual members of the RBLF and Australian Army.
- Conduct a combined field activity with a focus on military operations.
- Gain a working knowledge of RBLF operational, logistic and administrative procedures.
Participants
The following Ex MB contingents have/are to deploy:
- 2008 Ex MB 08 RCB 81 (5 RAR)
- 2010 Ex MB 10 RCB 89 (TBC)
