Bravo Company is located on The
Entrance Road Erina, in the heart of the Central Coast. The members
of the Company represent a broad cross section of the community,
with soldiers aging from 17 to 53, from students, landscapers,
Police and Ambulance officers to name a few. Even though the members
of the Company come from diverse backgrounds, they are bought
together on Tuesday evenings and weekends with a common goal in
mind, that is to train hard and strive to be the best they can
as a professional Soldier in the Royal Austalian Infantry Corps.
Tuesday night training is designed to develop the numerous skills required of an infantryman. Although there are only a few hours each Tuesday night it is amazing how much you can achieve. There is no typical nights training at Bravo, each week you will find yourself doing something different, you could be enhancing your weapon skills, at the pool conducting watermanship training or just as easily find yourself kitted up with night vision equipment in the middle of the bush navigating your way back to the depot. The weekends focuses on putting all theory into practice. Weekends also provide opportunity to bring other units together for collective training. In 2002, Bravo Company has a new challenge, which is to raise a Mortar Platoon to ensure the continuation of the Battalions organic indirect fire support capabilities.
At the end of each training night you will find all the members down in the Mess as this is where Soldiers are able to relax and unwind from the nights activities and enjoy the company of their mates over a few cold ales. It is the mateship both on and off the field that the Australian soldier is renowned for and this spirit is alive and well within all the members of Bravo Company. Social events such as BBQs, and formal Company dinners are a regularly held.
