General

Health Services

Within the garrison area the 2nd Health Support Battalion provides full medical support for all members and their families. There is also a fully functional dental clinic within the garrison.

Messes

There are a number of messes within the garrison area, providing accomodation and meals for both members posted to the garrison and those in transit. The 21st Construction Squadron is affiliated with the Gallipoli Officer's Mess, Long Tan Sergeant's Mess and the OR's Mess.

Gymnasium

The gymnasium is open daily from 0630 h to 1900 h on Monday through Friday, and 0800 h to 1200 h on Saturday and Sunday.

The gymnasium also provides tennis and squash courts for use by members and their families. Both tennis and squash courts need to be booked 24 - 48 hrs prior to use. There is a limited amount of equipment available for loan and will need to be booked in advance through the gymnasium staff.

After hours access to the gymnasium can be gained by arrangement and signing the key out from the front gate.

A rock climbing Wall is located in the Main Gym. It can only be used if you have been deemed competent by the PTI's.

A Spa / Sauna key can also be signed out from the Gym.

The garrison pool is a 50m pool and is open from September till May each year. Pool hours are 0630 h to 1700 h and can be booked for unit activities. Ph 07 3332 5379 for bookings. A kids wading pool and life guard are also provided within the pool compound.

Shopping

A Frontline Canteen is located on base and is fully stocked with everyday items. as well as limited military related paraphenalia. Frontline also provides a 24 hr Dry Cleaning Service and is located on Dalzial St and can be contacted on 3332 7945. There are also limited video hire and newsagent supplies co-located with Frontline.

Postal Services

There is no post office located on base, but there are a number of post boxes located within the garrison. The nearest post office is situated at Brookside Shopping Centre in Mitchelton

Service Stations

The garrison does not provide a service station on base. The closest service station is the Matilda's located in front of the main entrance to the base (cnr of Lloyd and Wardell st). They offer all mechanical repairs and fuel and are open 24 hours 7 days a week.

There is a Military fuel point on Base, for military vehicles only.

Clothing Store

The Area Clothing store is open from 0830 h to 1500 h on Monday through Thursday. Tailoring service available on a 14 day turn around. The Clothing Store and Tailor are located in Sadlir St and can be contacted on 07 3332 6286.
