RAAF Base Richmond

Established in 1925, RAAF Base Richmond is the first Air Force base in New South Wales and the second oldest base in Australia after Point Cook in Victoria.

RAAF Base Richmond is located in the Hawkesbury region, 60 kilometres north-west of the Sydney Central Business District, and is situated between the towns of Richmond and Windsor. The base is a hub for Air Force’s logistics operations, and provides transportation for troops on active duty and humanitarian aid both within Australia and overseas.
