RAAF Learmonth is a ‘bare base’ and does not have any permanent aircraft.
RAAF Learmonth is designed to be activated from a bare base to a fully operational base with little or no notice.
Learmonth Airport operates from RAAF Learmonth under a lease with the Department of Defence.
Flying at RAAF Learmonth depends on the status of the base. As a bare base, there are few flights. However, when activated, RAAF Learmonth can see significant aircraft activity.
Where possible, major exercises and training activities will be available on the Air Force website.
