RAAF Base Edinburgh

The principal Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) base in South Australia is located at Edinburgh near the site of the Salisbury wartime munitions factory.

RAAF Base Edinburgh is home to Number 92 Wing's AP-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft that conduct maritime surveillance operations, and Aerospace Operational Support Group that conduct flight-test activities on behalf of RAAF.

RAAF Base Edinburgh is also home to 7th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, a regular mechanised infantry battalion of the Australian Army.
