ADFA Volleyball Club

The purpose of the ADFA Volleyball Club is to provide ADFA staff and trainees with the opportunity to enjoy the sport of volleyball. Currently only indoor volleyball is offered by the club, though a weekend beach volleyball competition is held in spring for ADFA’s beach enthusiasts. The club also caters for all ADF personnel within the Canberra region, which allows for a wide and varied mix of players.

The ADFA Volleyball Club competes in the Volleyball ACT (VACT) competitions at all levels from State League, through Open League and Recreational League. The club has easy access to impressive training facilities located on campus, which allows for a high level of training to ensure competitiveness in our high level teams and the development of crucial skills in our social teams.

The ADFAVC works very closely with VACT to provide opportunities for coaching courses, refereeing courses and medical courses to the ADFA players. As one of the 5 major clubs in VACT the ADFAVC plays a major role in maintaining the sport of volleyball in the Canberra region. This relationship also allows members the opportunity to qualify for and participate in civilian representative teams as well as ADF representative teams.
