The ADFA Catholics and Friends (ACAF) is a group dedicated to developing our faith within ADFA and wider community. Our main meetings are centered on discussing the catholic teachings and traditions and applying it to our ADFA life. The ACAF group is responsible for the smooth running of Mass at 5pm on a Sunday.
We hold a main meeting once a week where we discuss the teachings of the church in a relaxed social environment. To complement these sessions we go out once a month to a dinner with the wider Catholic groups in Canberra and listening to inspiring speakers discussing issues that matter to us the most. ACAF also conducts a variety of social activities.
We are committed to helping the wider community. Our recent trip to Peru was a great display of our work as 15 volunteers sacrificed their time and efforts to build houses for those in need and be in solidarity with their community. We are always looking for opportunities to help the local community through local charities like the St Vincent De Pauls Soup Kitchen.
