Full Time

There are two full time courses offered through RMC Duntroon.

The General Service Officer course is designed to develop your leadership potential and give you the skills to command a platoon as a full time Army Officer. The Specialist Service Officer course is for those who already have a degree or sufficient industry experience to serve in a specialist role within the Australian Regular Army.

FULL TIME GENERAL SERVICE OFFICER FIRST APPOINTMENT COURSE (FT GSO FAC)

The Full Time General Service Officer First Appointment Course is the primary course run at the Royal Military College Duntroon. It consists of 18 months of training split into three classes of six months duration known as III Class, II Class and I Class. This is the course for those aspiring to long term careers in the Army.

The Full Time Specialist Service Officer Course is run at the Royal Military College Duntroon. It consists of three months of training split into several modules of increasing complexity. This is the course for those who already have degrees and want to serve in their specialist capacity within the Australian Regular Army (ARA).
