This order of dress is normally worn by officers on mess and other formal occasions during
winter. It may be worn at other times when the formality of the occasion demands or when ordered.

Notes
(a) Senior officers (Colonel and above) wear the Army Badge (bullion) on the left shoulder sleeve of the
jacket, and metal AUSTRALIA shoulder titles. Other officers wear the Army Badge (embroidered on
appropriate colour background) on the left shoulder sleeve, and metal AUSTRALIA shoulder titles.
(b) Servicewomen may purchase Slacks blue as an OPTIONAL item on REPAYMENT and may wear them
in lieu of the Skirt blue. Servicewomen are to wear the Skirt blue at mixed functions or when attending
functions at which female members of the public have been invited..
(c) Shirt studs are to be plain gold or silver according to corps.
(d) Watch/fob chains are not to be worn.
