Lawn Lap

Run since 1986, the event is not just a simple 400m run. Cadets can wrestle each other to the ground, tackle each other and are able to do almost anything to win. In short - there are no rules in Lawn Lap. The first person over the finish line wins.

Lawn Lap this year did not disappoint with squadrons cheering for their favorite powerhouses however the first and second years would not be beaten easily, holding back and tackling the third year challengers on the starting line.

Only one cadet can be crowned victorious and this year that was Officer Cadet Aamon Shaw from 1Bravo Squadron. Officer Cadet Shaw won the Lap for the men by defending against a determined finish-line tackle. In second place came Officer Cadet Alexander Bowyer from 2Bravo Squadron and Officer Cadet Timothy Modra from 3Alpha Squadron in third.

For the ladies: Officer Cadet Lyndal Day from 2Alpha Squadron smashed the field and was a good 50m in front of second place Officer Cadet Kathryn Koslowicz from 2Bravo Squadron and Officer Cadet Denna Fryer from 3Alpha Squadron rounded out the top three.
