I came to ADFA because it is a wonderful opportunity to study for a degree, receive a salary, and then, after you have your degree, there are so many opportunities in the wider Defence Force. My step-brother, who is also a Pilot, got me interested in joining ADFA.
The bonds you form with the people here are really special. During the harder times, you see each other at your absolute worst and you get to know one and other really well.
As a woman at ADFA, you’re not treated any differently when it comes to training. You’re expected to do just as much as the guys. You don’t run up a hill once because you’re a girl; you do it five times with the boys, which I really enjoy.
